Cutera truPulse® Nd: YAG & Laser Genesis
The Cutera truPulse Nd: YAG is a 1064nm laser which is FDA-approved for coagulation and hemostasis of benign vascular lesions such as telangiectasia, venous lakes, leg veins, poikiloderma, hemangiomas, port-wine stains, warts and scar revisions. Vascular laser treatment works by selectively targeting hemoglobin without causing thermal damage to the surrounding tissue. Laser light is absorbed by hemoglobin in the veins and the heat produced causes photocoagulation. This heat is transferred to the vessel wall which affects collagen and ultimately helps to destroy the vessel and prevent recanalization.
Laser Genesis is a delivery mode for the Nd:YAG laser with a patented pulse structure designed for safe and effective treatment on all skin types. It can be used safely on all body parts (except around the eyes). Common indications include treatment of wrinkles, rosacea and diffuse redness, scar reduction including keloids and hypertrophic scars, poikiloderma, angiomas, facial veins, inflammatory acne, lentigines, freckles, age/brown spots, skin tags, acne scars and spot hair removal.
Cutera LimeLight®
The Cutera LimeLight® handpiece utilizes a laser wavelength from 520nm to 1100nm. These wavelengths are absorbed by melanin and hemoglobin so are beneficial in treating benign pigmented lesions or vascular lesions including telangiectasia (tiny veins), rosacea, port wine spots and angiomas.
The LimeLight Facial is a non-invasive approach to skin revitalization. This procedure improves skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage. The LimeLight Facial is ideal for any part of the face and neck for improvement in skin redness, telangiectasia or brown spots. One to three treatments usually suffice to see results
Cutera ProWave®
The ProWave LX handpiece utilizes laser wavelengths from 680nm to 1100nm and is indicated for the removal of unwanted hair, and to effect stable, long-term, or permanent hair reduction. This treatment selectively treats the hair follicle without causing thermal damage to the surrounding tissue. Permanent hair reduction is achieved by using heat to disable the hair follicle and prevent re-growth by targeting the melanin in the hair bulb. Hair has three phases of growth: Anagen (active phase), Catagen (transitional phase) and Telogen (resting phase). Since laser hair removal only works in the anagen phase, multiple treatments are necessary for improved hair reduction. Permanent hair reduction can be achieved from all parts of the body, for both men and women.
Cutera TruSculpt 3D®
The Cutera truSculpt 3D device is a Radio Frequency (RF) system. The treatment may be applied to the neck with the 16 cm² head, or to the rest of the body with the 40 cm² head. This treatment will heat the tissue in the area to be treated to a temperature which causes a selective, and effective, disruption of the subcutaneous adipose tissue while maintaining comfortable surface temperatures. This disruption leads to destruction of adipose tissue and eventual reabsorption by the body, leading to a decrease in circumference and diminished fat. This deep heating also leads to a tightening of loose skin, providing a superior cosmetic result compared to other technologies on the market. The ideal patient is one that has a stubborn area of fat tissue that will not respond to an aggressive diet and exercise regimen, or a patient that has successfully lost a significant amount of weight and suffers from lose skin in the areas of weight loss. One treatment usually suffices for circumference reduction. Tissue heating and skin tightening may require 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
