Why Annual Physical & Wellness Examinations?

The best way to treat disease is to prevent disease. The second best way to treat disease is to find the disease early. The least desirable way to treat disease is to start treating it after it has already set in.

The DiGiovanna Family Health & Wellness Center offers many options for prevention and early detection of diseases. We provide a wide range of preventive services, depending on our patients’ underlying conditions, family history, other risk factors and our patients’ desire to more deeply understand their individual state of health and wellness.

Our Tiered Wellness Programs

BRONZE LEVEL:

This is a no- or low-cost option for those who are generally in good health, have no significant family history and who have a low level of concern over their health. We provide basic bloodwork, a physical examination and screening tests as allowable by the patient’s insurance carrier. We present the results and counsel patients on ways to decrease their risk and improve their level of health.

SILVER LEVEL:

This level is for patients that are in generally good health and have some diseases in the family or are somewhat concerned about their level of health and wellness. We include everything from the bronze level, but perform more extensive blood testing to include extended lipid testing (the Boston Heart Test), hormones, and vitamins. We also provide an extensive consultation with our nutritional consultant who has 25 years experience in the field and written reports explaining your bloodwork findings. We accept your insurance carrier payment plus an additional $500.

GOLD LEVEL:

This is for patients that may not be in the best health, have some significant diseases in the family or are moderately concerned about their overall level of health and wellness. We include everything from the bronze and silver levels, but perform additional screening tests for cardiovascular health, such as echocardiogram, carotid doppler and aortic aneurysm sonography, a full-body dermatological examination to screen for skin cancers and a follow-up consultation with our nutritional consultant after 3 months to evaluate how the patient’s wellness plan is working to improve the patient’s health. We accept your insurance carrier payment plus an additional $1500.

PLATINUM LEVEL:

This is for patients that have a several medical diagnoses that they are being treated for, have significant family history of diseases or are very concerned about their overall level of health and wellness. This level includes everything from the bronze, silver and gold levels plus more extensive bloodwork including neurotransmitters, additional hormone testing, cardiac stress testing, genetic testing for certain cancers and/or cardiovascular diseases, including time with a genetic counselor, and sonograms of your abdomen, pelvis and thyroid, all inclusive of a full, written report of your results with a written explanation. We accept your insurance carrier payment plus an additional $2500.
